About me
My name is Christian Ruiz, but I go by my middle name "Bronson" and I am currently pursuing a bachelors degree in Kinesiology at St. Edward’s University with the goal of becoming a certified strength and conditioning coach. I hold a NASM-CPT certification and recently completed an internship with the St. Edward’s Strength and Conditioning program, where I had the opportunity to work with a variety of teams, including basketball, volleyball, baseball, track and field, and soccer. This hands-on experience allowed me to deepen my knowledge of athlete performance, training programs, and injury prevention. In addition to my academic and professional experiences, I’ve played rugby for two seasons at St. Edward’s University, where I served as a lock. Through rugby, I’ve learned the importance of teamwork, accountability, and perseverance—skills that I apply both in my studies and in my future career. Looking ahead, I am excited to take the next step in my journey by joining the University of Texas’ Division I football winter internship program in January. This opportunity will allow me to work with elite athletes and gain further insight into high-level strength and conditioning practices. My ultimate goal is to earn certifications such as the CSCS and possibly the CSCCA, so I can specialize in strength and conditioning and make a lasting impact on athletes' performance and injury prevention.
