About me
Hi! I’m Joy Lo. I was born and raised in Taiwan and moved to the United States with my parents at the age of 14. One of my favorite parts about living in America is the incredible diversity of its people and the beauty of its natural landscapes. Each morning, I find inspiration in watching the sun rise and witnessing the sky’s colors transform in an instant. I cherish the moments of breathing in the fresh air and listening to the gentle songs of birds. I currently work as a fitness instructor at Texas A&M University Rec Sports, where I lead weekly “HIIT the Dance Floor” and yoga classes. My journey to becoming an instructor began as a passionate participant in group fitness sessions, where I discovered the profound joy and wellness benefits that these classes offered. This experience motivated me to step into the role of an instructor and share that joy with others. I believe in the saying, “Do what you love, and you will never work a day in your life.” Leading yoga and teaching fitness classes embody this philosophy for me. One of the most rewarding parts of my role is seeing students return to my classes, grow stronger, and build their confidence over time. When I’m not teaching, I love dancing, practicing yoga, and spending quality time with my family in nature.
